Depop Listing Photo Resizer
A Depop shop is judged by its grid — rows of square tiles that either look curated or chaotic. Since the app displays every listing at 1:1, cropping your photos to 1280×1280 pixels before uploading keeps garments framed the way you shot them and gives the whole shop a consistent look.
Depop requirements last checked 2026-07. Marketplaces update their specs — always confirm in your seller dashboard before large uploads.

How it works
- 1
Add your product photos
The resizer is preset to Depop's recommended 1280 × 1280 pixels. Batches are supported.
- 2
Choose crop or pad
Crop-to-fill produces the exact frame; pad keeps the whole product visible on a background color.
- 3
Check the requirements
No requirement — plain backdrops and on-model shots both work; consistency across your shop matters more.
- 4
Download
Individually or all photos as one ZIP.
Common uses
- Square-crop outfit photos so the full garment shows in the grid
- Resize photos to a consistent size across your whole shop
- Prepare a four-photo set for each listing in matching dimensions
- Re-crop content shot for Instagram into Depop's square format
- Center vintage pieces in the frame before listing them
Depop image requirements (as of 2026-07)
- Recommended size: 1280 × 1280 px (minimum 500 × 500 px)
- Aspect ratio: 1:1
- Accepted formats: JPG, PNG
- Listings display as squares
- Four photos per listing are recommended
Good to know
- As of our last check (July 2026), Depop displays listings as squares, so a 1280×1280 crop shows buyers exactly what you framed.
- Depop recommends using all four photo slots — front, back, detail, and label or flaw shots cover most buyer questions.
- Keep one visual style across the shop: same background, same lighting. The grid is your storefront.
- Anything below about 500 px turns mushy on modern phone screens, so avoid recycling old low-resolution photos.

Frequently asked questions
What size are Depop listing photos?
Depop displays photos as squares in the shop grid and on listing pages. As of our last check (July 2026), a 1280×1280 pixel square is a solid target — crisp on phones without bloated uploads.
How many photos should a Depop listing have?
Depop recommends four, and listings that use all the slots tend to sell better. A typical set: full front view, back view, a fabric or detail close-up, and the label or any flaws.
Why does my shop grid look inconsistent?
Usually mixed aspect ratios and backgrounds. When photos are uploaded in different shapes, the app's auto-crop frames each one differently. Cropping everything to the same square before uploading fixes it.
Do photos lose quality when Depop compresses them?
Some compression always happens on upload. Starting from a sharp, well-lit 1280 px square means the compressed version still looks clean; starting from a blurry photo just makes it worse.
