What size should a signature be for online forms?

Most application portals ask for something in the range of 140–400 pixels wide and 10–50 KB. This preset outputs 400 pixels at about 20 KB, but always match the specific numbers your form publishes.

Why does the portal keep rejecting my signature image?

The usual culprits are file size over the cap, wrong dimensions, wrong format, or a background that isn't white. Fix the size and background here, and double-check whether the form wants JPEG or PNG.

Does shrinking my signature to 20 KB make it blurry?

At 400 pixels wide, 20 KB is enough for a clean signature — simple black strokes on white compress very efficiently. Blurriness usually traces back to a poor source photo, not the compression.
